[ She sucks in a harsh breath, tail jerking ]

[ She shifts to return the hug now, forcefully, claws raking Adora's back just a bit.

This probably means launching her weight forward, so sorry if they tumble to the ground, her bad. ]

[ she doesn't mind at all, letting her body cushion any impact for Sabre and holding her crushingly tight. ]

You're my best friend, okay? No amount of stupid fights will change that. And whatever happens, we're gonna figure it out together.

[hissterics]

[ Sabre's response comes muffled against her chest, ears still pinned to her head. ]

If they take you, I'll rip this place apart to bring you back.

[ and giving in to an urge she's had since she arrived, Adora runs her hands over Sabre's ears and through her hair. ]

Well, they better be ready for a fight, because I'll be busy tearing it apart to stay with you.

[hissterics]

[ It looks like this is the part of Sabre's wild ride where she just breaks down crying against Adora's chest. ]

[ Adora just keeps stroking her hair, letting her cry it out. ]

Is there something else going on? Talk to me.

[hissterics]

[ She cries near-silently for a while, just the occasional hitching of her breath as she tries (and fails) to stifle it.

Eventually she gets words out, but they sound broken, like they've caught on a barb in her throat. ]

Noisy's gone. Req's gone.

[ does Adora even know who those people are, who knows ]

still, it's not hard to figure out they meant something to Sabre. ]

Gone like the other Adora?

Gone as in not coming back.

[ She's quiet for a long time, saying nothing, barely even moving.

Then she buries her face against Adora's shoulder, grip turning possessive and borderline desperate. ]

[ Adora holds her close, a hand buried in her hair as she practically pulls Catra into her lap. ]

Do you want to go to my room?

[hissterics]

[ A small nod.

Sorry fin for the spectacle on ur balcony ]

[ Fin is used to spectacles, thankfully.

Adora picks her up with ease, carrying Sabre bridal style to her room. ]

You can stay for as long as you want.

[hissterics]

[ Normally she would kick up a fuss about how embarrassing it is to be hauled around like she's helpless -- but right now the thought of Adora putting her down makes something tight and panicky flutter in her chest, and it's not like anyone is around, so she says nothing about it. ]

I don't want to go back right now. Not when they're not there.

[dumbjockenergy]

Then don't. Stay here with me. My bed is big enough for both of us, and you only have to go back once you start going grey, right...?

[hissterics]

It doesn't start until the third day. And you still have a few days after that.
