[ adora pops up in ZRAEL without any warning the very next day, knocking politely on sabre's door with a couple of bags slung over her shoulder. ]

[ she might normally tease about Sabre saying she was up for free stuff, but Adora is actually fairly nervous. instead, she muscles her way in, dropping the bags on Sabre's bed. ]

It's a couple of things for you. Something I got for myself I wanted to show you.

You just can't laugh, okay? I'm not all that great with clothes, but I tried to find stuff you'll like. And...I made something.

[ and then Adora pulls out a monstrosity. yet, somehow, she looks completely serious. ]

[ with that, Adora pulls out a shirt with a crimson body suit, a pair of stirrup leggings, and a jacket.

Adora's nerves are sincere this time. ]

I'm still learning to put things together, but... I hope you like it. If not I can...try returning it? Uh, you don't have-- have to wear it if you don't want.

Her eyes widen a little, because this is . . . actually something she'd wear? Somehow?

(And she briefly wonders if Adora's paid that much attention to how she dresses before quickly stowing that thought away to consider never.) ]

[ she scoffs a little, before reaching back into the bag. out comes a small square of some kind of wrapping paper.

she taps it against her hand a couple times before taking a deep breath. ]

So I...got an idea from Angel. She was making these bracelets the other day. Called them friendship bracelets. It was kind of silly, but...

[ holding out the square of wrapping paper to Sabre.

inside is a bracelet made of black twine. there's a string of beads across it, spelling out 🐱 sabre & arya 💪 ]

I thought it'd be kind of cool to use our new names, because... We might be an Adora and Catra, but we're us too. Ourselves, with our own histories. You know...?

[hissterics]

[ Sabre stares down at the package in disbelief once she gets it open, tail flicking uncertainly.

And then a surge of pink works its way into her cheeks. ]

You-- You have one of these too?

[dumbjockenergy]

[ she pushes her sleeve back and raises her wrist for Sabre to see. her own has gold twine, and the names are reversed. ]

So maybe it's not as cool as matching swords, but still ]
