[ He'll eventually find himself in one of the more secluded, out-of-the-way areas of the park, somewhat off the trail and into the trees.

A dangling tail is probably the only giveaway -- she's perched on a branch, knees drawn up to her chest, ears low. ]

[ She scoots down the branch to make room. ]

[He rearranges his hold on what he's carrying - shifts the bag so it drapes over his arm]

[He's pretty nimble - makes his way up without any trouble. And if maybe there's a second of hesitation before he joins her, that's got more to do with what happened the last time he was on a branch with a cat than this right here and now]

[After a beat, he scoots out a little, closer to her - offers the bag he's holding]

[ ZERO stabbings happen this time. Probably because the cat looks like she's been kicked too many times and is now huddling to prevent further injury.

She reaches out to take the bag, all the same. ]

[This time it's just a whole roasted fish on a bed of rice; it's pretty tasty. It's also fairly easy to pick up and eat, though there's a fork in there if she wants to eat it out of the tupperware]

[He waits for her to eat a little, leaning against her a bit]

[Then, quiet:]

...how you doing?

[ She leans back, just slightly, ears lowered. ]

. . . I want to go home.

[ She breaks off, curling into a tighter ball ]

[He hesitates - puts an arm around her, so he can rub her back, gentle]
